We first had the marvelous opportunity of working with Chris & Judith during their initial engagement session back in November of 2014, being held in the heart of Alexandria Virginia.

This day began at one of Judith’s close relative’s home in Arlington Virginia where she and all of her bridesmaids prepared themselves for the day. She has a very strong multicultural upbringing, which is always such a treat as a lot of the house’s decor was very rich in world culture. Another super delightful facet from Judith’s life is her love for dogs, for which a little Husky named Thunder had just joined the family!

We’re also very happy to present this short little

wedding highlight film of Chris & Judith’s wedding day!

The Ceremony

After a long morning of everyone preparing for the ensuing events we headed towards Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church, just down the road in Arlington for their early afternoon ceremony.

The Formals

We then took a few cars for hire on down to Monument Row and began taking the large majority of formal photographs along the grounds of the Jefferson Memorial, in Washington D.C.

There’s no denying it, Chris is a small guy and his friends playfully pick on him all the time, so we decided to have Chris have his superhero day! But, then they all arose back up and the source of his superheroness was brought to light… Judith.

Chris is actually a Navy-man, which is why it’s entirely appropriate to take a portrait of him with his wife in front of the war memorial to signify the fight within to protect her with the ultimate act of patriotic service. It was at this time that we found ourselves a hill below our next stop, the Top of the Town where they would dance the rest of the night away with their closest friends and family.

The Reception

It might be best to give a fair warning; there a LOT of reception photographs. You see, Top of the Town is no ordinary reception venue. They’re just over the Potomac River from downtown D.C. and from the roof of this sky scraper the view is straight in line with the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
